No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars


  


Ingredients:


- 2 cups rolled oats

- 1 cup creamy peanut butter

- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup

- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (dairy-free if desired)

- Optional toppings: shredded coconut, chopped nuts, or additional chocolate chips


Instructions:


1. Prepare the Base:


   - In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix well to ensure the cocoa is evenly distributed.


2. Mix Wet Ingredients:


   - In a separate bowl, mix together the peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.


3. Combine Mixtures:


   - Pour the wet mixture into the dry oat mixture. Stir until all the oats are fully coated and the mixture is evenly combined.


4. Add Chocolate Chips:


   - Gently fold in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.


5. Press into Pan:


   - Line an 8x8 inch (20x20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal. 

   - Pour the mixture into the pan and press it down firmly with a spatula or your hands to create an even layer.


6. Chill:


   - Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to allow the bars to set.


7. Cut and Serve:


   - Once set, remove the bars from the pan using the parchment paper. 

   - Cut into squares or rectangles and serve.
